A question that must be asked...by Americans of all skin colors and ethnicities:
Is it helpful for black people in America to carry around the notion that
they are owed something
White people owe them it,
(whatever that thing this).
They don't need to work for it.
They don't need to respect others.
They are intrinsically better than others because of their race.
You give it to me now, or I'm just taking it.
That is how I, a person of color, read the implicit, and sometimes explicit, attitude of so many African-Americans, whether others agree or not.
