Few want to hear this, they don't want to believe it's true

It is hard for me to believe that my experience of being looked at with contempt, hatred, suspicion, and anger is not shared by other racial minorities in Seattle and elsewhere in the United States.

I speak from my own personal experience:
As a racial minority (but not African-American), I have experienced in Seattle far more frequent and far more virulent racism-- from dirty looks and rudeness to actual physical and verbal abuse--from African-Americans than from Caucasians.*

Few will believe me, few want to hear this, white or black, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, Arab,,,

But I tell the truth
of my own experience.

I dare.
I do.

Someone has to.

* I don't live in a neighborhood or frequent parts of Seattle where African-Americans are more than 10%-20% of the population.

Police brutality

All cops are bad guys...they're not even human beings.  They kill black people and get away with it, all of them.

I've wondered why so-called liberals feel the need to bash* the one lonely person who holds an opinion that 10,000 others (liberals) vehemently disagree with and condemn.

So much for diversity, so much for tolerance.

Were my civil rights violated?

What came up over one more night of difficult sleep was how demeaning and racially inflammatory, if not actually racist--people today in the U.S. use the word very fairly loosely now to indicate that that a particular behavior or words spoken/written they find unfair (to a racial group, usually African-Americans) the posting and the way Trip Adviser dealt with the matter (the next ten days, my subsequent postings were all removed, at whose request it was is uncertain, as if to say "Stop what you're doing; we can punish you if you continue saying things we do not like hearing"--was and how arbitrarily, unfairly I was treated.

It is difficult still for me to believe that these events occurred to me.  Similar things must have happened and continue to happen to others, I assume.

It, perhaps it is no exaggeration to say, was like a virtual (Internet) lynching.

I tend to minimize slights, as Asian-Americans usually do, to "get on with life."

In this case, I am wondering now:

Were, in fact, my civil rights violated?

How could bring this to the U.S. Department of Justice to, at least, investigate the possibility?

Could a cogent case be be made that in fact my civil rights had been violated by Trip Adviser?

How would I go about putting the wheels in motion for something like this begin happening?

Here is what I initially found (and I don't have the time to read through all of it yet to try to understand the scope of its investigations):

Closure: Closing a Trip Adviser account

Dear J {Trip Advisor Forum Community Support]:

Thank for your kind efforts on my behalf in helping me finally close my account.

I am truly sorry that Trip Adviser (1) cannot and will not adhere to principles that frown on and/or prohibit egregious racism (let the rich white woman off scot-free and repeatedly punish the lowly Asian-American), while it at the same time (2) ignores the safety of certain categories of members in its online forum.

SOS: A letter to Trip Adviser

"I mentioned my race because middle-aged white women get mugged, too, as we are perceived as being weak and an easy target.
Please don't wear the colour of your skin as your God-given right to be afraid of everything that moves.
Your position of "those <insert group> will beat me up because I'm Chinese" is just as ethnophobic as "let's beat him up because he's Chinese".
There are hundreds of thousands of Asian (and white and black and brown and red and yellow and every color of the human rainbow) people in Paris every single day -- and nearly 100% of them get through their day without incident. Don't assume that you're so special that you'll be singled out."

When I read the above comment, I immediately felt sick to my stomach.  I did not go back to the TA site for almost week, by which time the thread had been closed.

But the feeling of being disrespected, openly ridiculed, and treated with condescension had not diminished at all.  Repeated attempts to either (1) remove the above comment and (2) to provide a reply were all rejected.  This meant that the insulting, contemptuous, racist post above has remained on my original thread with the more than just the tacit approval of Trip Adviser.

In fact, an entire thread on "Safety of Chinese in Paris" (35 posts) was removed after the third attempt to step up to the plate and address this woman's racist tirade.

TA is aware of the pain these words have caused me but chosen not only to defend them but to, inexplicably, retaliate against me.

I tried, in vain, to end the pain by canceling my account and erasing any trace of what by now what amounted to a public whipping/humiliation with strong racist overtones.

I cannot and will not be part of  or participate in an organization which goes against what I consider whatever one might wish to call it:  The Golden Rule, the Judaeo-Christian tradition, the Rights of Man, the basic, innate dignity of an individual...

The TA site stated if I clicked on a certain box declaring my intention to do so, my account would be canceled.  This, in fact, did not happen and hours passed before I message back from TA giving me "permission" to do so, but only on their terms (my posts would remain their property, etc.)

I cannot do this alone.

Dear J. (Trip Adviser representative):

I am considering taking imminent legal action against Trip Adviser for  on its online site allowing racial harassment and denigration, as well as patterns of racial discrimination and preferential treatment of customers based on race, income, perhaps even age, and other factors thahas resulted in psychological damage and social humiliation, as I could find no other possible explanation for what ensued after I was not so subtly attacked on the Trip Adviser  forum about 10 days ago.

The

I would not considering such action unless I felt very strongly about this.

Trip Adviser clearly has an obligation to its members and the wider public to ensure and not block open discussion of personal safety, especially in the context of international travel these days.

Maximizing the bottom line for a business should not come at the expense of jeopardizing the health and safety of Americans.
My doctor , associates, family, and friends would be able to provide evidence therein.

In order to substantiate my allegations.I would be suing Travel Adviser as well, to obtain intentionally removed and/or withheld postings, documents, and other pertinent information, whether or not they have been destroyed or tampered with.

Any help in contact others who feel that have been treated in similar manner would be greatly appreciated.

Recommendations for individuals with legal expertise and experience in this area would also be
